Favorite thing: Patzcuaro!! Patzcuaro was the former capital of the Tarascan people in the 14th century and you can still see some of the Tarascan people on your visit to Patzcuaro. There are many things to do while in this beautiful town. the weather is perfect due to its location in the higher elevations of Michocan. patzcuaro has wonderful colonial buildings such as this old Catholic church built by Spanish missionaries. One of the nicest areas to relax in this town is on a bench at the Plaza Vasco de Quiroga...there is nothing like people watching on a Sunday afternoon with a bag of fried garbonzo beans.Patzcuaro is most famous for its 'Day of the Dead' celebrations which take place November 2nd.
