"Speedy's ferry to Virgin Gorda" Tortola Transportation Tip by Dabs

Savvy cruisers know that you can usually do excursions for a fraction of the cost of the ship excursions, in this port I think it was about 1/2 the cost. Speedy's is one of the choices for ferries, Princess also uses them so I assumed they were the most reliable, and the one with the best schedule. The ferry terminal is a 10-15 minute walk from where we docked, we headed off the boat, made a left at the 1st street and another left at the traffic light to get there.

The current price of the ferry is $30 round trip or $20 each way so it pays to buy your return ticket in advance. Add $8 on for a round trip safari taxi ride to the Baths, they are not walkable so you might as well get it through Speedy. You can pay with cash or with credit card at the terminal. The ferry was punctual and speedy, it took 30 minutes in both directions.

Ask for the schedule coming back, there was an extra ferry at 2:45pm that wasn't listed. When you get off the taxi at the Baths, the driver will tell you the options coming back, the taxi leaves a 1/2 hour before the ferry sails.
