Visiting former battle grounds. you can still see huge craters from bombs dropped by American B-52's that scarred the land. Tanks that had been disabled by VC mines can still be seen in some areas near Cu Chi and Tay Ninh.
War is a part of the shared history between the Unted States and Vietnam. In the south there is an area called the Iron Triangle which stretches from Saigon to the Cambodian border in an area once known as the Parrots Beak. It was called the Iron Triangle because so many bombs were dropped in this area and so much lead was flying during the course of the war.
