In the park, across the street off the main post office and NLB bank, there's statue of Red Army officer and a partisan, sheltered by the large solid construction, a typical real-socialist structure - it was a gift from Soviet union whose governement donated it to town of Murska Sobota after the WWII. Other 'ornaments' include: two cannons by the side and a star above them all. The partisan and Red army officer are considered brothers who fought against the nazi enemy and the inscription between them says: 'Eternal glory to the heroes, whom lost life in the struggle for freedom and independence of brotherly Soviet Union and Jugoslavija.' The script is both Russian and Slovenian; it's the central place in Sobota that this monument takes place.
Directions: in the centre , park
