Heritage Square Park, Phoenix: 2 reviews and 6 photos
Smack in the middle of downtown, there is a preserved area that was the original founding of the city area back in 1872, when it laid out 320 acres of ground to create a town center. The remaining 5 homes are reminders of what an original neighborhood would have looked like back in 1890's era. The Rosson House is and anchor site for the square and its preserved homes, even though there is also the Arizona Science Center and Phoenix History Museum on the square complex.
During the year, many festivals and events are held in the open square area, which draws people.
