"Museu do Teatro Romano" Museu do Teatro Romano Tip by Willettsworld

Museu do Teatro Romano, Lisbon: 2 reviews and 10 photos

If you walk around the left hand side of Lisbon's Cathedral you'll see some steps that lead up to this museum and Lisbon?s Roman Theatre remains. The museum is housed in part of a building from the 17th century that used to be the coach-house for the Chapter House of the Cathedral. It exhibits some architectural elements including Ionic and Corinthian columns and capitols, and some marble statues. The museum also gives a look above an archaeological area before you exit and cross a small road to the actual Roman Theatre Ruins (see next tip).

Open: 10am-1pm & 2-6pm Tues-Sun. Closed Mondays. Admission: Free.
