The Winter Gardens: "Not your usual pub" Harrogate Restaurant Tip by tim07

Harrogate Restaurants: 7 reviews and 21 photos

This is a typical Wetherspoon's pub, but what makes it different is that it's housed in the Winter Gardens building. A place that was originally built next to the Royal Baths as somewhere visitors could stroll or relax in any weather. In the 1920's people relaxed here to music played on a grand piano. In the 1930's they were entertained by the Municipal Orchestra.

Today the place still retains much of its original architecture, particularly the stone steps that lead from the entrance to the bar area. It certainly was an enjoyable place to stop and have a drink.
