one of the popular areas in the lower middle part of New York Bordering the flat iron district in the north. Union Square in manhattan is actually a misnomer as it does not celebrate the Union of States but the union of two main road of Manhattan, Primarily Broadway and Fourth Avenue and they built a small park here called the Union Square Park. The first Theater district of Manhattan was located in this area and was called the Iconic RIALTO but it moved to the present location beside times square. There are now many quiant cafes and restaurants in the area which you can go to and have some food or brewskie or hang around the park.
