Fondest memory: This photograph was taken from my balcony at our guesthouse during Phnom Penh's rush hour. Phnom Penh is a modern city though it has existed as Cambodias capital since the mid-15th century. It is a gritty city and in most areas it is very congested. The major thoroughfares run north to south. they are Monivong Blvd., Norodom Blvd., and Samdech Sothearos Blvd which runs in front of the Royal Palace. The main east to west streets are Pochentong Blvd., Prea Sihanouk Blvd., and Mao Tse Toung Blvd. there are also hundreds of numbered streets running across the city.
