We found it a bit difficult to find a decent restaurant in Shkoder, where people go to have dinner. The city has many large restaurant kind of places, but it looks like that most of the local people only go there for a drink, probably due to a lack of money.

In the end we decided for the Bar Restorant Piceri Oaz, due to its prime location in the city centre and the large outdoor terrace between some trees. The menu offers a selection of local and international dishes. I opted for "Chicken escalope with mushrooms and rice" for 550 Leke (about 4,30 Euro).

As expected the service was very slow. My meal was good, but nothing exceptional. We were probably among the very few people who ate here, although the place was packed with locals, who mainly came here for a chat and a drink.

So all in all the Bar Restorant Piceri Oaz is a very good place for a drink and people watching. If you have enough time then you can even order a meal, but be prepared that the service is very slow.
