"Maritime Museum" Kotor Things to Do Tip by antistar

Kotor Things to Do: 302 reviews and 603 photos

If the museum was 1 euro as the Lonely Planet guide suggested, it would be an ok way to waste an hour if you had too much time in Kotor. At 4 euros, the actual price, it was a total rip-off. Kotor's fascinating maritime history is presented in a series of dull photographs, paintings, and exhibits. The visit was voiced over by a stumbling Australian woman, who had all the professionalism of a backpacker they'd borrowed from the hostel in the square below. After wandering the small building for an hour I had learned less about Kotor's history than reading three paragraphs of a history book the night before. The reading took five minutes, cost me nothing, and was infinitely more interesting.

Address: Pjaca od Muzejo
Directions: In the central square.
