The Eurostar is a high speed train with direct connections from St, Pancras train station to Lille, Paris-Gare du Nord and Brussels-Midi.

At departure you go through ticket inspection, passport check and security control. Thereafter you wait in the departure hall till the doors to the platform are opened.

At arrival you only go through passport control.
