"Notre Dame Towers" Notre Dame de Paris Tip by TexasDave

Notre Dame de Paris, Paris: 652 reviews and 1,336 photos

The towers of the cathedral are open to explore for an admission price. The entrance is on the left as you stand looking at the church. There will be a line because visitors are allowed in only in groups of 20 every 10 minutes or so.
You must climb a total of 400 steps, most of which are in an enclosed spiral stairway, so this is not for the claustrophobic or weak-kneed. The view is spectacular and it is the only way you can get close to all the fanciful gargoyles gazing over the city, as well as the 13 ton bell, known as "Emmanuel".

This admission is included in the Paris Museum Pass.
