Okay, not really a danger to be honest, just a warning about jellyfishes: they are few kinds in the lakes, some as large as half meter and endemic (Aurellia). Aurellia is 26 mio yers old species and discovered recently! Amazing. You can see how they look here:

Realistically, you can get in touch with a jellyfish kind - we saw lonely ones and groups of them in waters of small lake, and of which I sadly forgot the name (on photo). They were really many.

But: they aren't dangerous (scientists say none of Mljet jellyfishes are), they are in fact hybernating, only floating in water in a daytime and come to action by night. If you touch them they won't burn or anything, they don't even move their arms. So, don't worry. I heard some people actually like to play with them.
