No, not Genghis Khan, the Mongolian warrior leader. This restaurant is called Gengiz Khan, maybe named after the owner? It doesn't even serve Mongolian food.

Nonetheless, this is one of the nicest and best restaurants South of Gandy in Tampa. The food is primarily Turkish and Mediterranean. They offer a wide variety of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts.

We stopped in one night and enjoyed a nice, relaxing dinner of kebabs, salad, beer, and wine. I had the lamb kebab, for about $15. The tasty, tender meat was served with rice, grilled peppers, tomatoes, and a small salad. For my beverage I had a great Turkish Efes pilsner.
