Getting to Miyajima couldn’t be easier. You first take the tram to the Miyajima-guchi station – red line on the tram map. The station is the last stop on the line...20 stops from Hiroshima station and 10 stops from the A-Bomb Dome stop. The fare to Miyajima-guchi is more than the normal fare at ¥250.
Once you reach the station cross over to the harbour and get a ticket for the Miyajima ferry. There are two companies operating the route to the island. If you have the JR pass, the JR ferry ride is free. Because I had the pass I don’t know how much the ferry actually is...sorry
