Allensworth Things to Do: 24 reviews and 74 photos

The plaque reads:
This two room school was built in 1912, replacing the smaller schoolhouse that Josephine Allensworth purchased and had remodeled to become the town's public library. The children of the Allensworth community attended school here through the eight grade. Graduation included impressive ceremonies and was a major event for the town. The building also served as a community center, assembly hall, polling place and church. The restored Allensworth school is now a museum, open on request to the public.
