"Husa-Medin Pasha Mosque a.k.a. Church of St Ilija" Stip Things to Do Tip by Pijlmans
Stip Things to Do: 41 reviews and 146 photos
This mosque was built on the foundations of a 13th or 14th century church dedicated to St Ilija, hence it is most often referred to as Sveti Ilija.
The mosque probably was built in the 16th or 17th century. We heard that the building never was used as a mosque though.
The entrances to the mosque are closed, and it is certainly not in use anymore...
Directions: On the left (south) bank of Otinja river, on a hill.
