Miscellaneous: Don't forget to bring your passport or other accepted documents with you to cross the border, they will not let you in without them. The current accepted documents in addition to a passport can be found on the US State Department's website

ATM cards and credit cards are widely accepted at Canada and the exchange rate is currently almost even with the USD so at some places you can probably use USD, especially near the border
