"Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Clocktower" Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Clocktower Tip by Willettsworld


This clock tower, just south of Fort Cornwallis, was presented to Penang by local millionaire, Cheah Chen Eok, in 1897 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. Built in a Moorish style, the tower is sixty feet tall, one foot for each year of Victoria's reign.
