From the street the town hall seems rather small. All you see are two (neo-)renaissance gables so one might think there are just two small town houses behind. However, the painted facade attracts attention. The colourful murals that cover the entire front show scenes from the history of Konstanz, painted in the 19th century.

The town hall unites several houses to one complex and extends far behind in a series of three parallel wings with two courtyards in between. Walk in through the gate to see the courtyards and the hidden facades and towers. Have a closer look at the renaissance architecture of the middle wing with its elaborate ornaments.
