Swagat means "Welcome" in Hindi. I gather that it means that everyone from all walks of life and who adheres to any kind of creed or religion is welcome to taste their food.

Many people, including one whom I consider a real sister, were raving about it. The others told me about it because they know that I churn ice cream and have been trying to try to make kulfi. Kulfi is like western ice cream, but it has a certain ingredient that doesn't make it melt immediately.

The Kulfi that they serve here in Swagat is one of the best tasting Kulfi in the...well, at the very least, in Metro Manila. :)

I was kind of imagining a swanky place, but was "shocked" to find a simple eatery. Don't let it fool you. The food is great.

You can even choose if you want your food mild, spicy, or hot.

During weekdays the place is jampacked because it is a favorite lunch spot of people who work nearby.

Favorite Dish: Kulfi! :) This is something you must really, really try. It's looks like an ordinary ice cream, but tastes like something out of the ordinary. Swaadisht! (Super delicious!)

The fish dishes are mouthwatering and judging from my brother who ate the chicken with gusto, I can say that their chicken dishes are good too.

They also have vegetarian dishes and they are very, very delicious.
