Jugendherberge Bad Hersfeld: "Good quality budget accomodation" Bad Hersfeld Hotel Tip by ettiewyn

I stayed in the Jugendherberge (youth hostel) of Bad Hersfeld, a very nice and modern building which consists of two 19th century buildings that were combined. Everything is renovated and very clean. A big plus is the great location: The hostel is located right next to the Kurpark with its spa and beautiful gardens, it is only a two minute walk to the old town, and only one minute until you come to the banks of the fulda with beautiful walks and forests.

The food was very good and it was no problem to cater for vegetarians, vegans and allergics, which I found great. If you stay here, you can choose if you want to have breakfast, breakfast and dinner or breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals consist of a big buffet with a lot to choose from.
There are six share dorms, four share dorms, double rooms and single rooms, all are ensuite. I slept in a four share dorm, everything was very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The hostel is about twenty minutes walk from the train station, but you can take a taxi or the local bus (bus 380 in the direction Kirchheim, you need to leave the bus at the stop Stadthalle).
