"To Singapore" Singapore Transportation Tip by Pomska

It takes about 13 to 14 hours to fly from Helsinki, Finland to Singapore (via Bangkok).
The Changi airport has two terminals which are connected by the Skytrain monorail (modern, very efficient, quick and air-conditioned). It's easy to use and free of charge.
The Changi airport is situated at the far eastern end of Singapore, 16 km from the city centre. Check the possibilities to shop tax free goodies at the airport.
You can pick up one of the free maps and weekly "What's On" guides from the airport.
Take a taxi, a bus or MTR to the centre. The journey doesn't take a long because the airport is so close to the city (the whole country is so small!). The bus to the centre departure points at the basements of both terminals are well signposted. Remember to take the right amount of money because the driver won't give a change. Taxis from the airport levy a SGD 3 surcharge on top of the
fare. A trip to the centre costs about SGD 15 and takes twenty minutes.
I prefer the MTR because it's cheap, convinient, air-conditioned and easy to use. The MRT station is also well signposted.
