"Domplatz and Marienstatue" Cathedral Tip by June.b

Cathedral, Salzburg: 97 reviews and 166 photos

The Cathedral Square is located in the old city right below the Hohensalzburg. Cathedral Square is bordered by the Cathedral, the archiepiscopal Residence and the convent tract of St. Peter's Monastery.

The center of attraction of the square is the statue of the Virgin Mary (Immaculate Conception) with angels on its sides, one hitting a devil with a thunder bolt, a beautiful and quite interesting monument if I may say.

Get inside the church, it has a nice interior.

Address: Domplatz 5020 Salzburg
Directions: In the heart of the Old City - you can see the steeples from all over Salzburg
