"Omisalj-the church" Destinations Around Island Krk Tip by BruceDunning

This is the first village after crossing the bridge. It also is the location of the airport that serves Rijeka. Seems like a long distance, but I guess they were looking for a flat plain. Omisalj has one primary church and a smaller one we did not see. The main church; Marijina Usnesenja; called by us Parish Church of the Assumption, is right in the middle of the village. This is also where the tourists come for an indoctrination. The church is really nice inside, and many ornate artifacts.
