There is the land gate and harbor gates and two others left from what was at one time about 5 or 6 gate entries. The land gate called Kopnena Vrata, is from the 1543 construction and has Roman reliefs besides St. Grisogone on the top facade on top of the triumphal arch. The Venetians built this gate as the main entrance to the town. The name stands for lion gate. This gate was built along with a water ditch to try and keep out those Turks who wanted the terrain. They never got into the town itself.
The harbor gate is from around 1573 and named after St. Chrysogonus
