If you're looking for a well-manicured resort or more nightlife than you bring yourself, then you don't want to visit. If you're looking for an authentic Nica fishing town with what I found to be the most relaxed, comfortable, and chill spot after a month of traveling through Nicaragua, then you're in for a treat. A dozen rooms, 75-100 pieces of original art made by contemporary Nica artists, great food, beach filled with fishermen, fantastic surf nearby, waterfall up the road, and chill music playing inside a beautiful lobby. We planned on coming for a day and stayed four!

Unique Qualities: Great location, right on the beach. Balconies outside every room, pool table downstairs, slot machines(!?), AC if you want it. Friendly French owner and great Nica staff!

Address: Playa Casares
Price Comparison: least expensive
Directions: On the bottom of the hill on the beach by the fish market. You can't miss it!
Price: US$20-40
Theme: Hotel
