"Bluff Trail" Coveland Things to Do Tip by glabah
Coveland Things to Do: 7 reviews and 25 photos
Running for approximately 2 miles (3 km) along the top of the bluff above the Straight of Juan de Fuca, the bluff trail connects the beach area to the Gun Battery Area with the walk-in camp sites at the main campground in Fort Ebey State Park.
The views are wonderful, and from here you can watch ship traffic entering and leaving Puget Sound, as well as see the Olympic Mountains in the distance.
From the gun battery area, the trail runs along the edge of the bluff near the oncrete bunker that used to serve as the foundation for the guns. From the campground, the trail is accessed from the walk-in camp sites or several other trails on the water side of the campground. From the beach area, watch for a trail climbing steeply from the edge of the parking area.
Directions: Look for trail along top edge of bluff above water, all along the water edge of the park.
