The largest of the princely palaces built in New Delhi between 1921-1931, Hyderabad House belonged to the Nizam of Hyderabad. It was completed in 1928 by the architect Edwin Lutyens in European style with a hint of Mughal architecture. Since the independence of India, Hyderabad House has been the property of the Government of India where it houses foreign dignitaries and holds special banquets and events.
