The DELI: "CLOSE to the TRAIN STATION" Hanoi Restaurant Tip by Greggor58

This is a small, clean, eat in or take away restaurant about a five minute walk from the train station.

We searched for something exactly like this before our train journey up to Lao Cai…and long story short…VOLIA…here it was…just a stones throw away from the station on Le Duan Street.

It was a little bit busy when we were there so the service wasn’t the fastest but what arrived was what was ordered (ALWAYS a good thing) and it was very inexpensive.

If you’re looking for something FAST and EASY before you head out on the train from Ha Noi…you might want to stop here for something to take away or you can sit and eat at one of the five or six tables.

From the train station…you’ll find this little place on the opposite side of Le Duan from the station…turn left…and its about 200-300 meters down the street.

Favorite Dish: The menu was varied and prices were CHEAP. You can find here easy foods like sandwiches, salads, burgers, and hot dogs, noodle dishes and deserts. Kevin had a LARGE salad that was loaded with fresh greens and tomatoes…I settled for a small pizza and I cant remember what else, so perhaps this isn’t too helpful except that its proximity to the train station was a God Send.

I know that Kevin ordered a falafel to go in addition to his meal, something that would travel well for a snack on board. It arrived well wrapped and bagged.
