View of the Fraser river from the look out
by balhannah

Westminster Abbey at Mission, was a little hard to find. After asking directions from a local, we managed to find it.

The Abbey, estabilshed in 1939, is a community of about 30 Benedictine monks.
The monks operate the Seminary of Christ the King, with a High School and a College. the young men who attend, reside on the grounds during the school year.

The abbey has a farm which is worked by the monks. It houses pigs and cattle, raised for their meat and chickens.

The abbey, including the farm and woods, covers over 70 hectares of land.

Watch for the sign posted track running from the Abbey's car park to the look-out.
We followed this along to the end for fantastic views over the Fraser River and Mission. We could see all the logs in the River, the Mountains & more.....
it really is a lookout worth finding.
