When arriving in Turkey, you may need a Visa to enter the country. This is no problem, as they are available at the Airport after you have disembarked from your flight. Look for the signs, and the long queues, located near passport control.

It is located before passport control, and you must go there 1st if you need to obtain a Visa

You hand the clerk your passport and the fee in CASH, the clerk sticks a stamp in your passport and that is it, takes 10 seconds and you are on your way! The queue moves quick!
Really, the sticker visa fee is just a tourist tax.

Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, USA can obtain visa's from the port of entry in Turkey.

It must be paid in cash, I paid 15Euros [2009] They take $20 American, British is 10 pound.

Scottish pounds, Traveler´s cheques, Turkish lira or credit cards are not accepted.

The fee allows you a single-entry visa for one-time entry into Turkey and once you leave Turkey,you need to obtain a separate visa to re-enter.

A multiple-entry visa, [which I got, as I was visiting the Greek Islands and returning to Turkey]permits multiple entries into the country within the span of its validity without incurring any additional cost. It was the same price as a single entry visa [2009]
