"Vietnam Fine Arts Museum ? Part 1" Hanoi Things to Do Tip by Willettsworld

Hanoi Things to Do: 1,144 reviews and 2,844 photos

I only stumbled across this museum after visiting the Temple of Literature across the road. Housed in an attractive 3-storey French colonial building, the museum exhibits a wide range of different artwork dating from 10,000 years ago, right up to the 20th century. These include Buddhist stone sculptures, such as the famous 11th century, thousand eyed, thousand armed goddess Guan Yin; a reclining Buddha made of lacquered wood; wood carvings, bronze sculptures, paintings and ceramics.

Open: 8.30am-5pm Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sun, 8.30am-9pm Wed & Sat. Admission: 20,000 VND.

Address: 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc St, Hanoi
