"The Rosemount Estate" Denman Things to Do Tip by Henk.Irene
Denman Things to Do: 4 reviews and 11 photos
Beautiful weather today, early and without breakfast on the road. After a short ride (about 6 km from Denman) we arrived at the beautifully situated Rosemount Estate. For visitors, they were just open and we could start with coffee and breakfast. Sitting in the sun on the terrace, we enjoyed here a delicious Spanish breakfast. Later we got from an older lady an explanations about the estate and wine making in particular. Breakfast first and then taste wine is not a good idea. The breakfast was influenced our taste therefore, the wine flavor did not come into her own. After rinsing it was better and we tasted a Cabernet Merlot and Shiraz. Both tasted good, therefore, bought a few bottles. Especially for our host Hans bought we a red port, he's birthday next week. After this warm and friendly visit, said goodbye, and on to the next winerie.

A supermarket chain in the Netherlands sold Rousemount Estate wines. However, all of the state of Victoria SA. Once we had the good fortune to buy a box of Cabernet Merlot from the Rosemount Estate at Denman in NSW. Never before and thereafter also no more.
On the website of the Rousemount Estate the Upper Hunter Valley, particularly Denman, is not mentioned. Well a winerie in the Lower Hunter Valley in Pokolbin. Presumably there is a winery from Rosemount near Denman anymore. Too bad, the wine tasted good.
Directions: Upper Hunter Valley NSW, near the town Denman.
