This modern church is located to the north of Downtown and was built in 1962 and served local Catholics until 1975. Under the Khmer Rouge regime between 1975-79 the church was used as a prison and after 1979 used as storage until it re-opened as a church in 1993. It's designed like a ships sail by the renowned Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann who also designed the Independence Monument and Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.
