Clayfield is one of Brisbane's most prestigious suburbs and was named after the clay found in the region.
We went for a drive around Clayfield, up, down, and around the very narrow roads, high on the hill, overlooking the Brisbane River and the City of Brisbane. .Clayfield was settled early, between 1853 and 1858, because of its proximity to the city. Located in this area, are beautiful, renovated colonials on large blocks........
and large, architect designed modern homes.

The homes high on this hill are MILLION DOLLAR + HOMES

Clayfield is roughly 6.5km from Brisbane?s CBD

Bartley's Hill lookout is located here. There is a car park opposite the lookout, where a seat is located. The views of the river and the city are nice.
Hope the Council trims the Trees soon, as they are starting to block the view.

Address: Brisbane
Directions: Bartley's Hill lookout in Ascot - UBD map 140, J14 - for a great view of the city from the north.
