St John the Baptist Church, Chester: 5 reviews and 16 photos
St Johns Church was built on the site of an Anglo-Saxon Church. It was the Cathedral church of the diocese of Chester from 1075 - 1102 and became a Parish church in the late 1540's. Today some fantastic ruins of the Chapter house with great Norman arches - don't miss the wooden coffin set into one of the Arches.
Address: Vicar's Ln, Chester CH1 1SN
