"Decani Monastery - the way through KFOR" Decani Off The Beaten Path Tip by GyuriFT

The famous Decani monastery is not in the city but probably 5 km towards the mountains. It is best to be reached by car, of course. It was Easter, we arrived in the last minute - and there was no room in monastery's konak anymore. So we went to look for a hotel. Hotel Swiss was fairly near, looked good and was very reasonably priced (20 Euro/room).

Next morning we went back to the monastery. One has to drive from the said hotel to the main street, turn right, turn right on the next roundabout and take the second (not the first!!!) exit.

Always keep left, drive slowly and in ten minutes you will see the monastery from the distance.

At the end you will arrive at KFOR (NATO) roadblock and security check.
