If you are here in the summer, try to catch a Cape Cod Baseball Leauge game.
This is an elite amateur league and each summer the best college baseball players from around the country are invited to play. Many professional scouts pay a visit to check on the hot new prospects. The players work day jobs to earn money and live with local families. The games are free. (btw, I HATE baseball--it is sooooo boring!--but these are community events and it's as much fun to watch the crowd as the game. I heard a little boy near me ask his dad if the players live in the dugout!)

Directions: Various towns around the Cape. This happens to be in Orleans (home of the Orleans Cardinals), where home games are Monday and Tuesday nights.
