Brewton, Alabama is located in the southern part of the state not far from the Florida border. It is the county seat of Escambia County and has a population of about 6000. My visit started off badly with a substandard motel and an average restaurant; but soon improved. As I explored the dopwntown area I met a few nice people and had a couple of good conversations. I liked the courthouse and the Historic District. One thing I wanted to do but did not get the chance was to visit the Thomas E. McMillan Museum housed on the campus of the Jefferson Davis Community College.

For more information see my Brewton Page.

Directions: In Southern Alabama at the intersection of US Highway 31 and Alabama Highway 41.
