U Zelenho Stromu: "Hmmmmmm......" Prague Restaurant Tip by leics

Another pub/restaurant near our hotel......cavernous cellar rooms underneath.
Something felt not quite right here. Service was efficient but somewhat brusque. Menu was Prague pub-standard, the food was ok, prices were the same as elsewhere, the beer was good but.....
.....what put both of us off was the waiter presenting the bill, pointing out the total and then asking for extra 'with service'. I do not mind tipping when it is the norm (and it is in Prague). I do strongly object to being told how much to tip, or when.
So no, I would not recommend this place particularly. Go round the corner to U Vejvodu, where you can have the same food and beer for the same prices, but be served with a smile and with no pressure.
Maybe that's why this place was almost empty whilst U Vejvodu (and U Medvidku) were both heaving with people whenever we passed by?
Or maybe we just went on a bad day.......
