The Centre is a Christian-led, independent charity which owns the freehold of the site, managed by a Board of Trustees, chaired by the Bishop of London. It aims "to encourage and enable people to practise reconciliation and peace-making in their communities and lives". The church was partially destroyed by an IRA bomb in 1993 and only the church tower remains from the original building and it was from this partial ruin that the interfaith church came about.
I am not a religious person but on a visit with VT member Jo104 we were both moved by the peace and calm found here on a busy Saturday afternoon.
Prince Charles opened this church in 2006 as a multi faith church.
