Martin Place is a pedestrian mal in the central business district of Sydney. Due to its location it is always bustling with activity. Martin Place is named after Sir James Martin who was the premier of New South Wales and Chief Justice of Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Martin place contains an Anzac memorial, fountain, historical buildings such as the Sydney Post Office, benches and access to the Sydney Rail system. At lunchtime Martin Place is packed with people eating lunch or just milling about.
