This is another gorgeous beach on the southwest coast of the park - just north of Kalaloch. It's just a short hike through the woods and a crawl over drift piles to this rocky stretch of seastacks, small caves and low-tide pools of sea creatures. It's supposedly named for miniscule bits of garnet that mix with the sand and turn it a rosy pink at sunset. Ruby is a favorite with photographers - hit it at the right light (which we didn't) and you'll get some dramatic shots. Oh, and there's a nice overlook near the parking lot.
