"Nan Tien Budhist Temple" Wollongong Things to Do Tip by Josilver

Wollongong Things to Do: 83 reviews and 226 photos

The Nan Tien Temple is the largest Budhist temple in the southern hemispere. It is very beautiful and serene to wander around and look at the museum, temples and buildings. My favourite thing was all the really cute baby Buddha statues around the gardens. There are also many work shops lectures and retreats if you are interested in learning more about Budhism.

It is free to enter Tuesday to Sunday - it is closed Monday. There is a $9 vegetarian buffet which is quite popular, but I am told you need to get there early before it runs out.

Address: 180 Berkeley Road, Berkeley, NSW 2506
Directions: Take the Five Islands Rd exit off the southern free way just south of Wollongong
