Bulgaria is rapidly becoming quite a cosmopolitan country so far as eating out goes. In the cities you'll find a host of international cuisines including Italian (pizza has become almost a national dish!), Chinese (immigration has advanced significantly following the collapse of Communism), Armenian (which has similar roots to Bulgarian), Irish (although not quite like in Ireland) and even Belgian (as evidenced by the popular Rozenhof in Plovdiv).

No matter how cosmopolitan the restaurant however they still seem to follow the traditional menu set-up of salads, appetizers and grills and by using local produce keep a defintite Bulgarian qualitativeness to the food.
