Shimlas: "Finally some decent Indian Food in BC" Shimlas Tip by aqazi

Shimlas, Vancouver: 1 reviews and 0 photos

I have been meaning to come to this restaurant for years and finally I got the opportunity. My parents are Indian, but like the owner of this restaurant they were born in Africa which gives the food a certain difference. The food here is fantastic. When you consider that 99% of the indian foord you find in western canada is dreadful its nice to find somewhere where you can be fairly sure the food you taste is going to be authentic. The tomato soup butter chicken found at other esablishments isn't availble here, instead you get it just like it should be. Try it for yourself and enjoy. The downtown location on Denman is handy for tourists as its close to Stanly park.
