With a capacity of 43.600 spectators the Vasil Levski National Stadium is Bulgaria's biggest stadium. It is home to the national football team and also hosts the Bulgarian cup finals.
The stadium was completed in 1953 and reconstructed in 1966 and 2002. Just to the right from the main entrance a quote of the German poet Friedrich Schiller can be seen.
Directions:
The Vasil Levski National Stadium can be found southeast of Sofia's city centre, just at the end of the street ul Gen. Yosef V. Gurko. The stadium can be conveniently reached by metro (stop " Vasil Levski National Stadium").
