"Local Wharves" Barrington Things to Do Tip by christyvalerie

Barrington Things to Do: 5 reviews and 5 photos

In and around Barrington there a a lot of local wharves. My favorite is the Shag Harbour wharf. The fisherman are really friendly and always happy to stop and have a chat with the tourists and maybe if you ask around you could even get a boat ride out of it! The wharf is a very scenic spot, lots of Lobster boats water, and islands :)
About 3 hours from Halifax, drive west on the 103 to Barrington, go straight through the only set of lights and drive 7 minutes more to Shag Harbour. From Yarmouth drive 30 minutes on Highway 103 East to the Pubnico/Woods Harbour exit on your right, the take a left at gas station and drive 30 more minutes to Shag Harbour.

Address: Shag Harbour
